North Coast. This coastal paradise stretches from Durban northwards to the
mighty Thukela River. Pristine beaches and azure bays nestle between rolling
fields of green sugar cane and beautiful indigenous forests of raffia palms.
This region received a major shot in the golfing arm with the development of
Zimbali Club which has developed scenically beautiful and challenging courses.
Zimbali offers one of the toughest tests of golf in the region.
Day
1 : After breakfast you will tee off on course 1 at Mount Edgecombe Country
Estate. The lodge has a fully licensed restaurant and there is a swimming pool
for you to relax around. Rooms are also equipped with a mini bar and Television
sets which has all the local stations as well as Satellite television. Enjoy a
glass of your favourite wine on the balcony as you watch the sun set over this
really beautiful estate.
Length
of course : 5977 m. Par : 72. Greens : Country Club. Fairways : Kikuyu.
Day
2 : Enjoy a full English breakfast before being collected by your driver and
escourted to Zimbali Lodge for a challenging round of golf. Designer of
Zimbali’s golf course, Tom Weiskopf described its setting as “dramatic &
beautiful”. The principle that golf is more exciting played downhill is well
applied at this course, with most tees positioned high on the sides of hills or
dunes with fairways flowing through a valley to a green cut at the bottom of the
next hill.
Day
3 : After breakfast at the lodge today you will tee off at Mount Edgecombe
Country Estate but today you will play course 2.

South Coast. This idyllic coastline stretches from the Umkomaas River southwards
as far as Port Edward. Rolling hills, bays, beaches, lagoons and picturesque
seaside villages characterize this unspoilt region. Also dubbed as the golf
coast, the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal offers many challenging and attractive
courses.
Day
4 : After an early breakfast your driver will collect you from the lodge and
transfer you to Selbourne Park Country Club. Consistently rated amongst South
Africa’s top courses, Selbourne is the site of an old dairy farm more recently
transformed into a luxurious golf estate full of indigenous trees make this a
spectacular golfing experience. Course length : 6040 m. Par 72
Greens:
Paspalum. Fairways: Cynoden.
Greater
Durban Area. The largest city in the Kingdom of the Zulu and an important
economic hub built around the busiest port in the Southern hemisphere. A warm
sub-tropical climate with plenty of sunshine all year round and an abundance of
golden beaches make Durban an ideal holiday destination. The greater Durban area
enjoys the lions share of KwaZulu Natal’s golf courses.
Day
5 : Durban Country Club. The most prized course in the Kingdom if not the entire
South Africa. Amongst the many challenging holes on the course, the most famous
and arguably the most difficult is the Par 5 third. Played from an elevated tee
to a narrowing fairway, this hole is certainly not for the faint hearted and has
earned itself a position as one of the top 100 holes in the world.
Day
